I've long debated whether to carve out a presence for Haute in the Heartland on Facebook, since I already post links to everything I write on my personal page. I mean, how much H in the H does anyone actually need? ...don't answer that. Some of my hesitation has to do with a weariness over self-promotion. I mean, I don't want to litter my friends' "notifications" with suggestions to "like" my blog's page. Alright, and there's also a slight fear over how few "likes" I'll actually get.
No one likes to be unpopular. In fact, the prospect of a dearth of likes summons forth memories of being chosen last for the kickball team.
At any rate, I've made the decision. I don't want people like my brother or my co-workers to have to be bored any longer by all of the links to Refiney29.
From now on, I'm making a concerted effort to confine my fashion comments, links, videos, etc. to the H in the H page.
Everything else, like how I had a mediocre experience at the new restaurant Hue, will be broadcast for all my friends to see (most of whom I've actually met.)
Let the social networking begin.
